Building a presence across the web is slow, repetitive work: find a legitimate directory or profile site, check that it is free and relevant, sign up, confirm the email, fill in the same bio and links again, and write down what happened. I wanted an agent to do that job every day without me in the loop.

How it works

Every day the agent researches five new candidate websites and decides whether each one qualifies: a legitimate, relevant, free listing. Link farms, paid placements and spam are out.

For each qualified site it attempts a signup on its own. It creates the account, opens its dedicated inbox to confirm the verification email, and completes the profile. If a site needs something it cannot do alone, it skips that site and moves on. I do not review or approve individual signups.

Every opportunity is logged as researched, attempted, completed or skipped, so the next run never repeats work and I can see exactly what happened.

Tools and architecture

  • HyperAgent runs the agent on a daily schedule, with a browser for research and signups.
  • A dedicated Gmail account handles signups and verification, separate from my personal email.
  • A reusable profile kit keeps every listing consistent: bios, credentials, headshots and website links.
  • A tracker table records each site, its status and the live profile URL.

None of this is specific to HyperAgent. The same pattern (a daily research step, a dedicated inbox, a profile kit and a tracker) could be built on other agent platforms.

Initial results

So far the agent has researched 63 websites. Researching a site is not the same as registering on it: of those, eight new profiles are confirmed live, created and verified end to end by the agent, including Peerlist, Wellfound, Devpost, Contra, Codeberg and Speaker Deck. The rest were rejected, skipped or are still queued.

Limitations

Some sites cannot be completed automatically. They require Google-only sign-in, a business email, phone or ID verification, a paid plan, or a CAPTCHA the agent cannot clear, so it skips them and records why.

I have not established any SEO impact. Most of these profiles carry nofollow links, and whether they help search visibility over time is an open question this build does not answer.
