About
I'm an AI Optimist running a boutique digital marketing firm. I build with AI in public, under my real name, and I write up what I'm learning along the way.
I'm not an engineer, and I'm not trying to become one. The bet I'm making is that the most useful place to be right now is the application layer: picking up the tools that already exist and shipping things that actually work. You don't need to train models or wire up infrastructure to make AI do real work. You just need to use it.
A quick background. I've spent most of my career in project management and before that I was a CPA. I run affiliate traffic through various channels, and I'm expanding into others with AI doing more of the lift each month. The CPA brain helps. I care about evidence and numbers more than vibes, and that's how I evaluate every tool and workflow that crosses my desk.
So far I've completed three classes: AI Prototyping for Product Managers and How to Scale a Business With Agentic Workflows (both on Maven), and the OpenClaw & Claude Code program with AI Product Academy. Along the way I've built prototypes in Replit and designed multi-agent architectures to replicate end-to-end business processes. The tools I'm using day-to-day are Claude Code, Codex, n8n, ElevenLabs, Gemini, and Higgsfield. There will be more.
This site is one of my projects, built end-to-end with Claude Code (reviewed by Codex along the way) as a way to learn the stack in public. It's a sandbox, and I treat it like one. Things break here. That's fine. The plan is to take what I learn and feed it back into the real client work I do as a marketer.
On the "optimist" part: the public conversation about AI is split between people overselling it and people catastrophizing it, and almost nobody is occupying the calm middle. I'd like to. I think AI is one of the most useful tools we've built in a long time, and I'd rather show people what's actually working than argue about what might happen.
